EFfCI GMP specifies Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines specifically constructed to cosmetic ingredients, also considering significant facets of guidelines being used to certify quality and safety within the production of cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients.
Bell Middletown obtained its ISO 9001:2015 certificate on October 6th, 2017 for its production of botanical extracts, liquid fragrances, and dried fragrances. Bell Singapore obtained ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 for its formulation and manufacturing of fragrance compounds on October 10th, 2017.
Sabrina Entwistle, Bell Middletown’s Quality Systems Manager, remarks “achieving the ISO 9001:2015 and EFfCI certifications in such a short period of time this year is a great accomplishment for Bell and its employees. It is a testament to Bell’s continued management commitment and a dedicated staff to consistently provide quality ingredients to our customers and support continuous improvement initiatives.”
Liuyi Lee, the point lead for the ISO Steering Committee for Bell Singapore, stated, “To become ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified, we underwent an audit process that assessed our quality and environmental management system, internal documentation, risk assessment analysis, and production processes [among other things]. With a system focusing on continual improvement, we are now better able to identify any non-conformity and determine the necessary corrective actions to eliminate or prevent their occurrence.”
Hong Oan Khoe, Managing Director at Bell Singapore, commented, “apart from complying with customer requests, transforming our management system in accordance with an international ISO standard will help align the quality management standard of our facility [here] in Singapore with that of other Bell manufacturing facilities around the world. We will continue to strive for quality excellence in our products and exceptional service for our customers.”
