(Northbrook, IL, January 24, 2011) --- Bell Flavors & Fragrances is excited to announce our annual selections for Top Ten Flavors & Fragrances. Bell’s worldwide marketing teams have complied two different flavor and fragrance lists that will help developers understand consumer demands when launching products in the years to come.

The top flavors were selected through three different processes of analysis: tracking samples that have been requested over a 12-month period, trend scouting by our internal Marketing and R&D Departments worldwide, and tracking trends through external databases. Bell predicts Yumberry Flavor will make the largest impact on all food & beverage products in 2011.

The fragrance notes were selected through a similar process however research was focused around the hibernating consumer and what emerging fragrance notes will be selected as world economies begin to produce again. Bell predicts Jasmine Sambac note will make the largest impact on fragrances profiles for personal & household care products in 2011.

“Bell’s Top Ten predictions have had serious impact on consumer markets over the last four years. Bell was the first flavor house to predict the impact of Açai Flavor as a top ten flavor in 2006, and the only fragrance houses to predict the impact Szechwan pepper would have in the 2010 fragrance market,” states Michael Natale, Director of Marketing. “We are very happy with the commercial success these flavors and fragrances have shown over the last few years.”
